MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
The minimum requirements for establishing an account with TEN Canada are as follows:

  • The applicant must be registered entity in good standing with Business Registry in the province of operation
  • The application must be signed by the Director or party authorized to legally bind the corporation into contract
  • The applicant must have a physical yard location for storage of trailers
  • The applicant must provide evidence of a banking relationship
  • The applicant must have the ability to provide references as evidence of existing or prior credit relationships with other creditors

INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS & COI INSTRUCTIONS

Before equipment can be released, TEN Canada Ltd. must receive a valid Certificate of Insurance that meets the requirements below. Coverage must be for full term (greater than 30 days), not short-term (less than 30 days), and the certificate must be valid for a minimum of 6 months at the time of the account request to be accepted. Please share this information with your broker.

QUICK CHECKLIST

Please verify that your certificate includes:

  • TEN Canada Ltd. listed as the certificate holder
  • TEN Canada Ltd. added as Additional Insured on CGL
  • Semi-trailers specifically mentioned
  • Coverage for the full term, not short-term
  • Certificate valid for at least 6 months
  • 30 days' written notice before lapse or cancellation

REQUIRED COVERAGES

  • COMMERCIAL GENERAL LIABILITY: Minimum limit of $2 million or more, per occurrence. TEN Canada Ltd. must be added as Additional Insured.
  • NON-OWNED AUTO LIABILITY (SPF 6): For units over 4,500 kg. Minimum limit of $2 million or more, per occurrence.
  • AUTOMOBILE LIABILITY: Minimum limit of $2 million or more, per occurrence.
  • PHYSICAL DAMAGE TO NON-OWNED TRAILERS: $100,000.00 coverage minimum. Semi-trailers must be mentioned on the certificate.

IF YOUR CARRIER DOES NOT PROVIDE PHYSICAL DAMAGE COVERAGE

TEN Canada Ltd. will provide this coverage by charging a daily waiver. Please note that this is not insurance and does not cover single-vehicle accidents. Review full details and requirements in clauses 13 and 14 of our Standard Rental Terms & Conditions.
