TEN LeasingTEN Acquires Boston Trailer, Strengthening Position as Leading Trailer Lessor Across North America
Dublin, OH —November 8, 2024— TEN (Transportation Equipment Network) announces its acquisition of Boston Trailer, the leading trailer rental, leasing, sales, and maintenance provider in New England. This acquisition expands TEN’s market reach and strengthens its position as a North American leader in trailer leasing and fleet services.
The integration of Boston Trailer into TEN comes as both organizations recognize their shared operating philosophies and values. “TEN and Boston Trailer both place employees at the center of our success and prioritize delivering an exceptional customer experience,” said Scott Nelson, President of TEN. “This acquisition unites two companies with a demonstrated track record of performance and a strong alignment of culture. As part of a larger, combined network, we are poised to further distinguish ourselves as the most successful and customer-focused trailer lessor across North America.”
Mark and Jarod Warsofsky, founders of Boston Trailer, echoed the sentiment: “We’re thrilled to join forces with TEN, a company that shares our passion for quality service and a people-first approach. By combining our strengths, we look forward to an even brighter future for our employees and customers alike.”
Boston Trailer has a diverse fleet of over 3,900 assets, including dry vans, chassis, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, and storage containers, supported by in-house maintenance capabilities with nine service bays, five mobile service trucks, and 19 mechanics across its Massachusetts sites. This addition strengthens TEN’s existing fleet of 80,000 trailers and bolsters its service capabilities, which include 240 service bays, 118 mobile service trucks, over 300 shop mechanics, and 100+ mobile technicians across its extensive network.
The acquisition of Boston Trailer complements TEN’s strategic growth, expanding its reach in New England and reinforcing its commitment to supporting fleets, dedicated logistics, and other full-service leasing and rental needs. TEN’s platform has grown both organically and through a series of strategic acquisitions, including TIP Fleet Services Canada Ltd. in June 2024, Commercial Trailer Leasing in September 2023, NETS Trailer Leasing in July 2023, and Cooling Concepts in May 2022. With over 150 years of combined operating history, TEN is well-positioned to continue its legacy of exceptional service and growth.
